Seo friendly website

Technical audits are indeed very significant. What makes a website SEO-friendly? It is important for SEO consultants to be well-informed about where to start and what steps to follow in order to ensure success. You must conduct a technical SEO audit that includes the following components.

An SEO technical audit requires the following tools:

When performing a technical SEO audit, you will need tools such as Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Copyscape, and Xenu Sleuth when using a PC, and Integrity when using a Mac. Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Bing Webmaster Tools will be available to you if you are granted access.

1. Aspects to check using DeepCrawl

The following aspects can be checked using DeepCrawl. It may take one or two days for the crawl to show results. Next, fix each of the issues on the results using the steps.

2. Duplicate Pages

In the meantime, it is recommended that you have the client rewrite any duplicate pages and tag them with the tag redundant pages.

Make sure those parameters on Google Search Console are excluded from the list of parameters that produce unique content. It is necessary to disallow incorrect URLs in robots.txt in order to improve the crawl budget.

3. Pagination

First Pages and Unlinked Pagination Pages are two reports you should check for pagination errors.

You can check which pages are paginated by reviewing the 'First Pages' report. Check if the pages on the site are implemented correctly using this tool. Make sure the rel="next" and rel="prev" links to the corresponding pages and verify the pagination is working by viewing the report 'Unlinked Pagination Pages'.

Adding a rel="canonical" tag to a "view all" or "load more" page will make that page appear on top of the others.

Add rel="next" and rel="prev" markup if every page has its own URL.

In JavaScript, add the URL of the paginated equivalent page if you use infinite scrolling.

4. Max Redirections

Find all the pages that are redirected over 4 times in the "Max Redirections" report.

301: In your research, you will see a lot of codes that begin with 301. You do not need to worry if there is just one 301 redirect without a redirect loop.

302: It is fine to see 302 redirects. If you see them for more than 3 months, you should make them permanent by changing them to 301s.

400: The page cannot be accessed by users

403: The page cannot be accessed by users

404: Refers to the page being not found and occurs as a result of accidental deletion by the client without adding a 301 redirect.

404 error

Replace the old 404 pages' internal links with the internal links on the redirected pages to fix these errors. The redirect chains can be undone by removing the middle redirects.

500: The internal server has encountered an error, which must be reported to web development professionals to determine the cause.

5. Aspects to check

In the case of larger sites, you may want to specify the areas you want to crawl at a given moment if you are adding them.

6. Google Analytics Code

Here are the steps you need to follow in order to locate the missing Google Analytics code or to know about what makes a website SEO-friendly? : Those pages that were missing the code can be fixed by contacting the site developers.

7. Google Tag Manager

Identify pages without Google Tag Manager snippets. Google Tag Manager can be used to fix this issue by checking for errors and updating them. The developer should add the code back to the site.

8. Schema

According to Schema, structured data is how search engines determine the status of a web page. By using it, you can determine how many pages your client has indexed.

New sites may not be indexed by Google if they are new. Verify that your robots.txt file does not disallow Google from crawling certain things. Please ensure your sitemap is submitted to Google Search Console as well as Bing Webmaster Tools.

9. Flash

Google has blocked Flash since 2016 due to its slow loading speed. If the client site uses Flash, it is important to check during a technical SEO audit.

The required videos can be embedded from YouTube to fix this problem. A video can also be added using HTML5 standards.

10. Redirect Chains

User experience is negatively impacted by redirect chains, and page loading is also slowed down.

The crawl path of redirects can be reviewed in Screaming Frog under Reports > Redirect Chains. 301s should remain 301 redirects. Cleaning up 404 errors is important if you see them.

11. Broken Links

Fix broken links on your Mac with Integrity or on your PC with Xenu Sleuth. These tools can give you a list of broken URLs.

12. URLs

What makes a website SEO-friendly? Ensure that the URL does not contain any non-acceptable characters like?, =, or +. In the absence of optimization, dynamic URLs can cause duplicate content to appear.
